"All Austin" Annual Holiday Sale & Open House at the Austin History Center

AHCA members and the public enjoyed the Austin History Center Association’s Annual Holiday Open House and “All Austin” Sale December 10-11, 2005 at the Austin History Center. This was a free holiday event open to the public.

Good finds ranged from collectible Austin City Directories, yearbooks, postcards, maps, antique frames, and photographs as well as the AHCA’s Waterloo Press books about Austin history; note cards, postcards, and posters with historic Austin images. The Association also introduced a new “Congress Avenue – Main Street of Texas” T-shirt and a new historic Congress Avenue postcard and note card this year. Additionally, original paintings and prints featuring historic Austin scenes by local artist Mary Curtis were sold there as well.

The St. Andrew’s Episcopal School Select Singers performed holiday music on Sunday in the Austin History Center Lobby.

All proceeds received from the sale benefit the Austin History Center Association, which supports the Austin History Center, the local history archives of the Austin Public Library.
